What a great little place, we had time to spare on a day trip to KC so we decided to get off the highway and give this place a try.
The buffet was good sized for a smaller restaurant, very good selection and the food was very fresh. My son wanted something that was almost out on the buffet and the guy asked if he wanted more, they made a fresh batch and brought it right out to him.
Do yourself a favor and stop by for good food and great service. -

Service is awful. China Palace now charges you for not finishing the food on your plate. That is super childish. Part of being in the food service industry is the customer service and satisfaction you offer and China Palace does not get the memo. On top of their outrageous policies they are extremely unsanitary and could care less whether you are happy or not. Do not bother giving your money to these people.

My wife loves her Chinese food so when I see her on weekends (she's staying with her dad on his farm while she rehabs from knee replacement surgery) it's our Friday night meal. We used to go to Blue Star but they've closed a couple months ago so we started coming here. They have stepped up their game since Blue Star closed so the food is improved. A plus is that they offer croutons, cheese and bacon bits for salads. They still need some improvement in some items(lo mein noodles) but they're just as good elsewhere. What impressed me was that they ran out of mushrooms on the buffet so while my wife was eating they brought out a bowl of mushrooms for her. Overall compared to the buffets in KC CP is better but there's room for improvement.

Some foods were tasty but some weren't very warm. Lack of seasoning and the staff wasn't very friendly. The walls in the men's bathroom are filthy. If you need food quick and reasonably priced it works.

We love the general chicken and crab Rangoon. We prefer to order from home and pick up so it's fresh. The buffet was cold. Picking it up we are never disappointed.
